MY FAMILY IS COMING!!!

Mummy, Daniel and Stefanie are coming for summer hols:) so exciting..am looking forward for mum to come and cook my favourite food for me.nothing beats home cooked food:'')

it's a pity papa can't make it:(..he could not take leave. haiz..and so is ah yi and yi qiong.

Hope they can come some time next year..
I think as an overseas student.. there are times where you will struggle between missing your family yet enjoying the time you have alone to really strike it out on your own~ I love you*muacks*

It's marketing day!!!
Cai and I went to the wholesale market for fruits and vegetables to be the 巴刹aunties. Ai Lee met us there.
At the turn of spring, weather has always been unpredictable. In fact, it rains and shines rains and shines..so upsetting"( hahaha..I know I sound whiny but it's really weird weather here in Sydney. Cai was contemplating if she should go ahead initially but I told by faith we will ask God to stop the rain and not let it fall until we reach home.

Well, it rained when we reached Flemington. HMMM..somehow I still believed that God will hold up the clouds and not let it fall on us when we get home. He will shelter us without having the use of covered linkways(rare in Australia) or brollies.
So we had strawberries, pears, mushrooms, onions and huge cauliflower( as big as my head)!! We grabbed a bargain from this guy who sold asparagus. We asked for him to sell 16 bunches for 5 bucks because we wanted to split. Guess what- He gave each of us a bag of 8 , making it 24 for 5 bucks! (He was an Asian guy)..aiyo~ i was so 感动。

after a good day of shopping for the aunties, we became the korean aunties cuz we went to Joa snack bar near our house for lunch. amazing food~

Apec Summit 2007~ Wii day!

Apec Summit 2007@ Sydney, Australia was kinda huge thing here. Bush had the power to stop almost all the public transport in town that I just did not understand why.
Anyhow, politics aside* if that ever consists of a tinge of it* we had a lunch life group(thanks to Howee for correcting me) at Summer Hills on thursday cuz friday night was out for life group~ it's really a nice place with good food:) So we went to Larrie's friend's house along Smith Street..He stays in the attic of the house and we got to play the latest kinda gimmick in town called Wii.
It's like a remote control that you will have to do the real life actions and it gets translated onto the television..it's like computer games..LOL. exciting ey. I want that for my birthday!!!! Heard it's expensive in Singapore so I should get it here and bring back to Singapore so I can play. It's quite tiring to play that..will show you why later.

Jo and Quinn, the 2 south korean girls who arrived not long ago came for the lunch gathering too. so it was me, larrie, jo and quinn:)

That's how i spent my Apec eve at summer hill and it was pretty enjoyable..female gathering..:)

Depressing weather

My half marathon is comin up in 3 weeks time and I can't get out and hit the roads because of the silly rain everyday!!!
It's absolutely depressing whenever I wanna run and the rain hits my backyard. Clouds gatherin and makes your day so gloomy:(

Please pray for me so that i can train well enough to run..haha they have cut off point. I have to run at 8.3km/h in order not to get disqualified..LOL i think I should be able to clear that..*crosses my fingers*

Blessed birthday Elain!

It was Elain's birthday on the 3rd of september !haha..so I jogged to Berala and back to their house to give Elain surprise!It got too much of a surprise for her cuz I hid and gave her a big scare* she was screaming so loud* So I stayed for dinner and the birthday cake cutting ceremony!!
It was really a funny and enjoyable time at their house..talkin about all sorts of stuff..tellin stories about neighbours:)

Hmm..the cake tasted like the fa gao in Singapore ah..hahaha..we kinda felt a little cheater cuz we tot like there will bemore caramel in there..but it was good company and weird cake to go with.

So I invited them over for dinner tml night so they can also eat a little of what I cook..LOL.Cookin soup, chicken and egg for them. Feed them full.hahaha... they are bringing rice and vegetable..haha cuz i dont have rice cooker in my house.

Gonna be a good time of laughing and eating!!

Brooke Fraser

I went for the first music concert in my life at ENMore Theatre at Newtown. Newtown is actually like a Gothic town. I got a huge scare when I first came out of the station because I had never really seen like collective masses of people in Gothic costumes and pierced noses,lips and eyebrows. I must say that the music culture is rich..lotsa awesome lookin restaurants.

Terence kor kor bought tickets for Brooke Fraser's concert but he could not come along cuz he was due to fly to New York, London and Malaysia for the coming month. Had lotsa things to handle i suppose. :( Was quite upset though but he gave me good company. His friends Andi Jones, Lynette and Sarah from Randwick Church came to meet me and took me to dinner at this Turkish Restaurant. I ate this lamb kebab * though i dont eat mutton* and it tasted really good. My brave mutton attempt.:)
Andi Jones and gang are really a cool bunch of people. All of them are in the worship team for the Randwick church and they are so smiley and chatty. Sunny, Sarah's student was there and he is really a funny guy. Very sweet guy I must say~ i nearly cried when Andi told me not to pay for dinner- cuz Terence passed down orders that I cannot pay. I was like ultra overwhelmed..he takes too good care of him me le. I really think I will not survive if he goes away for a month..LOL

Brooke's concert was amazing. She is really a very natural performer and she's spontaneous. Must i add that she is a really funny person. She talks about stuff off tangent from the songs she play and never at moment let the lively mood of the concert down. The stage lights were pretty interesting and she had lanterns and umbrellas to go with some of her songs. The songs were good and she gave a very good rendition of Silence of sound and added her own lyrics.* blown away*
Musicians have their struggles too..writing songs that they don't really wanna write but knowing that someone out there will need that song. Musicians can be counsellors through their songs too:)Me and Brooke at Enmore Theatre.

I bought Terence an autographed brooke album but Andi did too..so I decided that I shall get him something else:( for givin me a chance to watch the concert.

Haiz..It's so down:( to have him go away for a month. Well..Amy will have to be my part time nanny then:)hee+
